Hand-carved from natural stone with a hand-spun brass insert. Veining and tone vary from piece to piece. Photographs show multiple sets styled together.

Uses & occasions

The lotus is Maa Lakshmi's seat, which makes this pair a natural choice for Diwali night.

Lakshmi pooja — one diya on either side of the chowki or at the threshold.
Diwali rows along the entrance, windows and rangoli.
Daily aarti on the home mandir.
Floating-flower and tealight table décor for festive dinners.
Return gifts for Diwali, griha pravesh and weddings.

Care

Let the diya cool fully before cleaning.
Wipe the marble with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth and dry it straight away; a soft brush clears the petal grooves.
Wipe off spilt ghee, oil, kumkum or haldi the same day — white marble is porous and can absorb stains.
Never use lemon, vinegar, bathroom cleaners or scrubbers on marble; they dull the surface.
The brass bowl will darken naturally with use. To restore its shine, use a brass cleaner or pitambari on the brass only, keeping it off the marble.
