Kamalika means a small lotus. This six-inch bowl is carved from Banswara white marble as a lotus just opening, with soft petals that curl outward at the rim and veins running down into a shallow centre. It is small enough for a dressing table or desk and pretty enough to set out on its own.
Ways to use it
- Dressing table: a tray for rings, earrings, a watch or the jewellery you take off every evening.
- Festive decor: fill it with water, float a tealight with rose petals and jasmine for Diwali or pooja.
- Home or office decor: on a console, bedside table or desk, for keys, clips or simply as a piece of marble.

Hand-carved from natural stone, so veining and tone vary from piece to piece and no two bowls are exactly alike. Wipe with a soft damp cloth and dry; avoid acidic cleaners, which can dull the marble.

Care
- After floating a diya or flowers, empty the water and dry the bowl the same day.
- Wipe with a soft damp cloth and dry; a soft brush clears the petal veins.
- Wipe off kumkum, haldi or perfume the same day — white marble can absorb stains.
- Never use lemon, vinegar, bathroom cleaners or scrubbers.
- Not for the dishwasher, oven or direct flame.
